You can make a new forgerush sorc in Classic and rush mules to hell for the forge. Of course, you need to put in quite some time and investment for that sorc to be able to do that, however I found it extremely useful. Rush past act2 in hell in Classic, so you don't do Baal and don't need all those annoying Baalqs, then convert mules to expansion and do the forges there.

You can pick up some nice tri resi boots as well from Classic and convert those, however those are probably worth more in Classic. I converted a pair because I needed them for my barb.

There isn't really anything to convert to expansion, because it will be worth more in non expansion. But I make a classic sorc each ladder to rush my characters to hell act 3. It's really cheap and easy too. I have to convert for the travincal, I usually rush 3 characters of mine at the same time. Without mh it takes about ~30 minutes.

yeah, this sounds like good idea, i thought about it before but never tried. now since im bored i might make a classic firesorce to do the job.
