Desktop Problems

My desktop is only showing a color (right click, properties, desktop tab) and not the background that I have. Does anyone know why or more importantly how do I fix it?

Uh. And your desktop already has a default background set? As in a picture?

Take a screen shot of with your proprieties open and so that we can see your background.

Do you have a background tab. There are viruses that will disable the permissions for it.

Try right-clicking your desktop and click refresh. If that doesn't work. Download that picture and save it somewhere on your computer. Then right-click it and click set as desktop background. If that doesn't work, try changing the color to none, instead of black which is what you have on right now.

Well off topic. But wow, I can almost recall 5 people who have used that exact background of that Lambo for their computers in my school...Just very interesting to know.

I tried refreshing, doesn't work. And instead of downloading it, I used backgrounds the computer came with, no cigar, and I don't think I have a color none, because I tried like 5 different colors that might be none, and they didn't work.

So.... virus?

Have you tried any other desktop images? Not just the downloaded ones?

Defaults etc?

this happened to me not to long ago, a couple of days ago actually, once i think of how i fixed it ill let you know.

Yup, did others.
I did notice that once in a while I'll get the box with shapes in it, but then when I refresh, it's gone and still no desktop.
