Do i need legit d2 cd key

hey, cant believe i remembered my username and password for this website lol

Ok heres my deal.
I havnt played d2 in AGES, remember on the cd's theres the 4 original cd's in their little black paper cd cases with a cd key on them, well i lost my black little cases, i just have the expansion case and all the cd's lol
i was wondering for me to play on bnet do i need a legit cd key for the diablo 2 cd's. not the expansion? thanks !
