I live about 1hour from Sacramento, I have some crazy pictures of the fire I am posting on my site as we speak. I have a lot of people I know that live in sac that had to evacuate. Some say it was a electrical spark that caused it but kinda odd really.
How sad... god bless!

While I feel bad about the loss of a home, really,it is the irreplacable momentos gathered over a lifetime, that I feel worse about. Not to mention the loss of loved ones. Hopefully this catastrophe will not be a permanent scar on the lives of survivors. I think it is especially piognant that this occured close to hollidays.

As for feeling bad for those who lost their homes; I really don't. As for priceless momentous; buy a safe or leave them somewhere safe. If you are living in Cali then you should be aware of the obvious fact that every year it burns. Most of the pictures I've seen of the fires show nice large houses, and if you are going to have a nice large house in a area where fires are a fact of life you should have fire insurance.
I find rather asinine to think that people worry about the people in cali while everyone just forgot about the people in New Orleans and how the government should have been held accountable for that disaster.

I didn't ,the USA is under a great deal of stress, and I can see it has taken longer to recover all this strife. I do care about all of this but I am only one person and I can only do so much to help. So if all I can do is express that I care and pray then I will. ![]() Life is short..live it to it's fullest!

Most of the pictures I've seen of the fires show nice large houses, and if you are going to have a nice large house in a area where fires are a fact of life you should have fire insurance. New Orleans happened about two years ago? And I don't think the government 'caused' the Huricane to just come and wipe it out. And what about the people that were shooting at the government officials and vehicles that were comming into New Orleans to help out? I could go on and on about that, but this is Current Events. Not every one has a safe, and not everyone is going to keep their pictures of them and their families, they awards, military honours, ect. in a safe. Instead they want them out in the living room or somewhere they can see and be reminded of things they did and enjoyed and accomplished. California doens't burn on that scale every year. Because it's so dry, there are fires breaking out everywhere, but a massive burn such as that isn't your everyday brush fire. Thousands of people had to evacuate their homes, and not every one there had/has nice homes, or maybe can afford the outrageous fire insurance to cover their homes, because they're to busy supporting their families. Think things through a bit more before just spouting off and trying to seem politicly insightful.
You can run....but you'll just die tired.

We're stupid for living in California with nice shit? Last I checked California was one of the most popular places to move to...we have more people in our state than some countries. I live in a desert area and I had to pack up my shit and run during the fires so I'm going to put this a bit less eloquently than usual... I'm gonna go get you a spoon so you can eat my ass.
