Why would my computer time out?

I have my screen saver set to come on after fifteen minutes of inactivity...if the screen saver is on for more then thirty minutes my system times itself out and blacks out. The only way to get it back up and running is to manually reset it. Why do you suppose this is happening? Did a control function get changed somewhere?

IGNORE ME - sorry guys, I had a real dumb moment. I answered my own question. confused: I think I fixed it. embarasse

Yeppers, it sure was. It had never done that before though so I don't know why it started. After I posted about it a light bulb went off rolleyes:
