This is me almost to a tee....

Quote:INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginitive, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

creative, smart, idealist, loner, attracted to sad things, disorganized, avoidant, can be overwhelmed by unpleasant feelings, prone to quitting, prone to feelings of loneliness, ambivalent of the rules, solitary, daydreams about people to maintain a sense of closeness, focus on fantasies, acts without planning, low self confidence, emotionally moody, can feel defective, prone to lateness, likes esoteric things, wounded at the core, feels shame, frequently losing things, prone to sadness, prone to dreaming about a rescuer, disorderly, observer, easily distracted, does not like crowds, can act without thinking, private, can feel uncomfortable around others, familiar with the darkside, hermit, more likely to support marijuana legalization, can sabotage self, likes the rain, sometimes can't control fearful thoughts, prone to crying, prone to regret, attracted to the counter culture, can be submissive, prone to feeling discouraged, frequently second guesses self, not punctual, not always prepared, can feel victimized, prone to confusion, prone to irresponsibility, can be pessimistic

INFPs are rare, intelligent, creative beings with many special gifts.

An INFP may show some or all of the following weaknesses in varying degrees:
  • May be extremely sensitive to any kind of criticism
  • May perceive criticism where none was intended
  • May have skewed or unrealistic ideas about reality
  • May be unable to acknowledge or hear anything that goes against their personal ideas and opinions
  • May blame their problems on other people, seeing themselves as victims who are treated unfairly
  • May have great anger, and show this anger with rash outpourings of bad temper
  • May be unaware of appropriate social behavior
  • May come across as eccentric, or perhaps even generally strange to others, without being aware of it
  • May be unable to see or understand anyone else's point of view
  • May be unaware of how their behavior affects others
  • May feel overwhelmed with tension and stress when someone expresses disagreement with the INFP, or disapproval of the INFP
  • May develop strong judgments that are difficult to unseed against people who they perceive have been oppressive or suppressive to them
  • Under great stress, may obsess about details that are unimportant to the big picture of things
  • Under stress, may obsessively brood over a problem repeatedly
  • May have unreasonable expectations of others
  • May have difficulty maintaining close relationships, due to unreasonable expectations
INFPs value authenticity, acceptance, and the search for meaning in life in both the ordinary events of life and the grand scheme of the universe. One source of sustenance for INFPs are those small, genuine gestures from the heart, be they from loved ones or strangers.
INFPs have many interests and talents. They are generally good at perceiving possibilities for improving the world and understanding others. They are often clear at expressing ideas through language, writing, poetry, and other talents.

Ideas and feelings (and particularly ideas about feelings) form the center of an INFPs existence. As INFPs explore the world, they discover new relationships, concepts, and connections about the universe. This exploration guides INFPs to find values important to themselves.

INFPs do not measure life in terms of the number of friends and acquaintances they have but rather by the quality of their friendships. For INFPs, the distinction between friends and acquaintances is very important; an acquaintance is someone they spend time with while a friend is someone with whom an INFP can share ideas and feelings. Their most valuable friends are people who understand their important values and accept them unconditionally.

An INFP's feelings form the foundations of the individual. They are sacred and binding, in the sense that their emergence requires no further justification. An INFP's feelings are often guarded, kept safe from attack and ridicule. Only a few, close confidants are permitted entrance into this domain.

I ended up as ISFP - The "Artist."

Quote:ISFPs are artistic, creative, loyal and sensitive. They have a keen appreciation for beauty because of their highly developed senses. They are easy to get along with and live in the "here and now". ISFPs are adaptable, caring, independent and like to contribute to the well-being of others. They are typically hard to get to know.

I guess some of the stuff is right, but for many of the questions I didn't feel at ease only having 2 options. Sometimes neither of the options fit me, because I was more in-between or else the topic might be situational and change from time to time.

ESFP - The "Entertainer"

ESFPs are cooperative, "here and now" people-persons that enjoy excitement and love new adventures. Because of their highly social nature, they are especially lively when they are the center of attention and hate being alone. ESFPs have a practical side that allows them to finish work efficiently and are often good problem solvers.

The Ultimate People Person

Effortless and easy describe the manner in which you operate. Almost everyone believes that you are the center of the universe. What ever direction you tilt or turn, others naturally follow. It's almost as if you have a magic wand that you visibly wave to hold people under your spell. You are a charismatic "Pied Piper" without the need for a flute.

You intuitively know people and what turns them on. It doesn't matter what conversations others are having or what topics they are discussing, you can join in without missing a beat. Even if you're not knowledgeable about the subject area, you come across smoothly and intelligently.
Interacting with Others

You're extremely conversant. In fact, that's the way you learn best and get others to do your tasks. For you, communication comes as naturally as breathing air. It's that basic. When you walk down a corridor, you'll comment or talk to almost everyone you meet. And, people just love talking to you. They feel light and energized after being in your presence.

Your sense of humor is extraordinary. You can make people smile and laugh at the drop of a hat. When you're telling a joke that you heard before or you're creating a spontaneous ad lib, you're naturally funny and entertaining. You're always creating situations with other people that make them feel relaxed with the humor of the moment.
Speaking in front of Groups

When you have to make a presentation or give a speech in front of an audience, you rarely prepare the whole speech ahead of time. For you, speech preparation is scribbling a few facts or important points that you want to cover on a piece of paper. The rest comes naturally. You'll use theatrical intonations and gestures, personalized comments and humorous anecdotes that are integrated around a few important points to make a complete and very acceptable speech. People leave feeling touched that you personally have spoken to them as individuals.

It doesn't make any difference how large the group is that you're leading, you always seem to say the right things at the right times to make people feel good and follow what it is you want done. Even if people question your logic, they're willing to follow you because your charming manner of speaking convinces them to trust you. You're the supreme motivator of others.
Dealing with Situations

You're very intuitive in dealing with people and situations. In fact, it's in spontaneous and chaotic situations that you excel the most. You come up with unusual, sometimes absurd, ways of organizing things, and most people follow your requests anyway. If you're put in the leadership position where everything is predictable and patterned, you may become bored and sometimes fail. You lose your energy and vitality to lead under these circumstances. You need the freedom to arrange, zigzag and feel, rather than to only be logical and stay a straight course.

You are an extremely positive force and an eternal optimist. No matter how bleak the situation or how negative the people you're trying to lead, you remain steadfast, upbeat and hopeful. Sure, sometimes you doubt yourself or others, but you have supreme confidence that you can turn the situation around by motivating people and finding a creative solution. Also, you have learned from past experiences that you have a life like a cat with at least nine lives. Almost everything turns out positive and successful.

You might glance back at the past or forward towards the future, but you're centered in the now. Processing ideas with people and experiencing the interactions are what you live for. Every moment is centered with connecting verbally and energetically with others. It's not the project or what the project might accomplish that fully excites you; it's the chance to be creative together that makes your juices flow. You are, above all else, people-oriented.
