World of Warcraft account hacked via Blizzard's forums site

One World of Warcraft player over at the MMORPG's forums is saying that his account got hacked not in the game itself, but through logging into the official community website.

The player added that his unit got infested by a keylogger. So the question is this: Can keyloggers designed to hack WoW account pick up the words you type even when you're not in the game?

Blizzard Community Manager Drysc dropped by and gave the following explanation:

Yes, anything and everything you type should be assumed to be captured by a keylogger if you suspect you may have one.



That means you should reset your password now, again, and do not login to the forums/account management/game until you can be sure your system is safe and secure.
