WoW Forums: Retribution Paladin T6 gear still has spell socket bonuses

The screenshots below were the ones provided by player Tonyc when he reported on what seemed to be a bug on his Tier 6 gear. These are the Lightbringer Breastplate and the Lightbringer Shoulderbraces.


The curious thing is that they still have spell socket bonuses in them. He was concerned whether this was a bug or not. He assumed that this was a bug that wasn't addressed by Blizzard when they where changing the sets.

Apparently, Community Manager Hortus dispelled this certain musing with this response. He said, "We do not change existing socket bonuses on items because of a technical limitation on the socketing system."

Well, ain't that good news for every Retribution Paladin in World of Warcraft? This is certainly something that you guys could really use to your advantage in the game. It's still better than nothing, right?
