WoW PTR forums: Call for feedback on 64Bit Vista OS updater issues

Having trouble trying to update your World of Warcraft MMORPG? If you are, you may not be the only one. According to Hortus over at the WoW forums, there's an ongoing issue that's causing Blizzard's updater to stop working on machines running on Microsoft's 64bit Windows Vista OS.

The bad news is that the devs can't seem to replicate this problem, which is where you, the player, come in. Hortus is currently asking for feedback from those who have experienced this problem, and what measures they took to fix it.

If you're interested in lending the game devs a hand, Hortus recommends that you submit these bits of info:


Some important information would be, and can be found in, the direct x diagnostic tool which can be accessed in the start menu by typing 'dxdiag'.

• Operating System: (indicate what flavor/type i.e. business/ultimate/professional/home/etc)
  
• Processor: (be sure to indicate brand/speed/how many cores)
  
• Memory
