I just happened to stumble upon this and I never remember hearing this before. Just thought I'd share it for the other people who might not know:

The Scroll of Resistance increases your base resistance level with 10 per use. Note that if you die this bonus will disappear until you join a new game. The Character Screen does not show this bug. For obvious reasons this is only a concern to Softcore Characters.
So if you're doing uber trist or something and you die, your best bet is to leave and come back even if you retrieve your corpse.

I've known that for awhile. You would have to rejoin the dueling game to have it back. =]
The thread about things you should know about Diablo said something like. Of course Akara didn't pass firebolt casting 101. Haha.

Yeah. Many PvP chars don't even do the resistance quest, since you would have to rejoin the game every time to have your "actual" resists.

nah hes right..alot of pvp chars wont do this quest because of the Anya bug

Well I'm a pvp. I always do Anya's quest.
But I can see how not seeing your real resist is after you die is a little disadvantage, for you don't know how much you need to stack.

andy you know as well as me that when u pvp ur gunna do ur anya quests... but then again we never die

Lol. Don't give me that never die bull crap. Rarely die. But once or twice every few games against the great ranged characters. WW Trappers etc.
