How long would a slim model PS2 last before it dies?

How long could a PS2 (slim model) last before it dies? How many years? Or is it less than a year?

My ps2 model (slim model):

there good ive had mine for a year now and no problems i like it better than the original that my friend has

It really depends on where you keep it (if you don't give the fans room the PS2 will run hotter then usual), how you treat it, what the temperature is in your house... I have a fat PS2 so I am not sure if a slim would last longer or not

they generaly last longer than xbox
xbox has more trouble over heating

Some say that the ps2 slim can not play games like final fantasy because they can not go that fast or they over heat idk
