How is D2 now?

I have been away from D2 for a year or so now.. I was wondering has it gotten worse with all the hacks and lack of blizzard resetting ladders etc? Is there any new weapons, items? I kinda want to play for fun but not sure if it is worth reinstalling or even the time to find my Cd's again. I used to play nothing but ladder back in the day. Just wanted some insight on how it is now. I know I could probably google and find out but I am still trying to find time to game.

Hi, and welcome back. Blizzard supposedly resets the ladder regularly now(1 year intervals), and the games still bm as ever. Infested with botters too.

i too am a vet coming back into d2, and also, has anything progressed like items and such, new things for people to hack u with, and is maphack still safe?

John got detected when I played with him a few months ago using maphack. He has to make a new account. Pickit is still annoying as hell when you do runs with a full game, so that hasn't changed... Hmm.. As long as you play ladder you'll avoid most of the dupes. That's all I can think of.

that sucks really bad lol. i dont mind how in the day, their were some botters for baal and all that, but if its as bad as it is....is it worth coming back too?

I tried going back to D2 recently and I was just kind of disappointed. It wasn't as compelling as it used to be, and I ended up getting to like level 60 and going back to WoW.
