Disk Boot Faliure
#1
Whats crackin homeskillets its beenin a while since i post and i got a problem so i figured, why not. well my problem is i keep getting a boot disk failure when i boot my 5th pc and it sayin insert system disk and press enter and i did that and nothing. also this isn't the original harddrive the other crapped out on me, but any way my old on ran from a sata port.the one i put in there is ide. and it seems to be Ide hd's that dont work cuz i put a sata port hd in and it worked no problem but still no dice the the ide hd. and dont ask about the master, slave ,Cs, cause its on cs and its the only thing plugged in ide style. and the harddrive still works cause i put it in another pc. so if u guys got any ideas at all that i havent tried i will do em, cause its just my modded pc i dont really care about it.

is this the only hdd in the computer?
if it isnt, i would check the boot order.
if it is the only hdd in the computer, try disabling sata support, and make sure that you have the hdd hooked up correctly even though it is CS

Check your Boot Device order etc in the Bios. My old PC with a SiS 3114 Chipset i think it is, is a bastard for that.

i would check the master boot record.

Is it a Seagate? Run seatools and do a low level format.
Tried re-setting the bios and re-applying all your settings?
Running the latest bios version for your Mobo?

Also wont it say invalid system disk if you have not installed windows on it yet and its blank?
Also make sure you havent got any pesky lill' usb sticks plugged in? That upsets my Old desktop PC.

when in the setup, check what the hd setting is. chances are its looking for a sata hdd when it should be set to ide. might wanna change it to auto so it will autofind the hdd.
