Looking at the video and being the wife of a pilot I speculate the auto-pilot failed and the sleet and freezing conditions factored into causing the crash.
It was horrible that they went down in a residential area,and being midnight I think witness observations will be regarded as "iffy" at best. My heart goes out to all that lost loved ones.
