Drum and bass is a very fast pased music genre, very high hat oriented with tons of emphasis on the kick and snare drums.
The bass lines are usually huge - but certainly don't compare to dubstep.
Drum and bass usually has your head kind of suspended in the air, while listening to it - due to the high hat patterns (if the artist of course is creative).
