love those moments. Man and what was blue talking about bullies in my school? i have no clue where that came from or how it makes any sense. Oh and heres an great arguement. Soccer must be the only game where extreme stamina is a must. I mean those guys can have like 40 minute shifts right. Football games stop every 10 seconds. Hockey is more extreme but longest shifts are like 10 minutes. Baseball is run stop run stop.

I don't see how you can say, after seeing eitherof those two videos, that Soccer is a) A sport anyone can play, or b) A sport played by "lawn fairies". It takes a high degree of skill that sure, can be developed starting at a young age, but in the end becomes something that very few people can do at a professional level, just like any other sport(but to a higher degree, if you as me, since so many more people play or have played soccer than any other sport in the world). It also takes very mentally and physically tough atheletes to play. You cannot be weak.
The United States is a sad country, as far as soccer goes. It's unpopular(for whatever reason), and thus we suffer competatively. Freddy Adu, one of the best young players we've ever been able to call our own, wants to go play in English League soccer to develope his skills, because he cannot become as good of a player playing in our country with the players we have to put him against. It's rediculous.

The same can be said for any professional athlete playing any sport, I think.

Thats a ****ing lie, and you know why? Cause everyone else who's not total feminish actually likes to watch sports. It's called entertainment. And as long as people are willing to shill out their hard earned cash to watch this entertainment, they are worth what they are payed.

i disagree. A surgeon spends years in med school in equivalence for a person pracitinsg sports and gets payed a fraction of their salary (most cases).

Aye, and I'm sure that people would rather there be doctors and surgeons in the world than pro athletes. It's the numbers of people, though. Only a few hundred people need to see a surgeon throughout a 6 month period, but millions of people(via stadium seats and television) will see an athlete play. Doctors and surgeons don't get any money from TV broadcasts they don't make, and they don't get 40,000+ people to buy $20-$250 dollar tickets to watch them play for a couple of hours. The individual person wouldn't pay an athlete what they'd pay a surgeon, but it doesn't matter.

Shit, when it comes to football, and I was offered tickets, I'd sell the clothes off my back to go. However, I got into some pretty bad accidents and refused to go to the doctor.

Aye, but if, say, you were in need of a transplant of some sort, or needed a bypass, or some other medical emergency, would you rather have the operation or go to a football/baseball game, and which would you be more ok with costing more?

see we don't have that dilemma with healthcare (thankgod). But playoff tickets (nhl) can still go in the thousands for a shitty seat here.

Depends, I'd rather go to the superbowl/world series, hell any Packer or Brewer game, if I knew I was going to die anyways, but the operation would extend my life.
Now, if I had a guaranteed chance of survival, I'd take the operation first.

Aye, the chance of survival post-operation being over 30% is what I meant.

Aswell as soccer..Ull never ever see an overweight hockey player. They are always ripped and in the best shape of their lives. Even the hockey kids in my school have incredible physics. I have a friend who plays hockey in the juniors. He works out 5 days a week , 3 of those being with a personal trainer.
