diablo 1

hi guys
i seem to be having a little trouble
my friends and i want to move onto a new MP game
we have chosen to go with diablo 1
problem is we cant seem to get online

i actualy want to host my own servers
is this possible? sorry if it sounds noobish but i host for a zombie game through a hosting company but i cant seem to find anywhere that will host diablo 1 confused:

well diablo I is somewhat an old game as you may or may not know, have you tried to find an online server and does anything come up when doing so?

laugh: yes i remember playing it when i was a child
at the moment i can see the 4 connection types:
battle.net
modem
local area network (ipx)
direct cable connection

for some strange reason when i click on battle.net a small box appears with writing that flashes to fast for me to see and then a red one opens with no writing at all
just the ok button with the 'ok' not there
im assuming the box is saying something is wrong as when i click on ok i go back to the previous page.

my main ambition is host my own servers for people to join confused:

Try reinstalling diablo and then getting the latest patch for it. But thats if you want to fix the bnet problem.

it may be my disc
it is god knows how old now
i'll go and buy a new one next week at some point maybe

so im guessing theres no way on hosting my own servers then? :-(
