D2 xfer theft why

I just got back to diablo 2 since my 2 year or so leave and when i finally got enought stuff to get full paladin gear; i ask a buddy(well at least i though was a buddy) of mine, that i been playing with since 1.10 to come and help me xfer in game. So he joins and i drop everything freaking thing like i've done multiple times before and when i come back all my ****ing shit is gone and so is he. at first i though maybe he got drop or something so i messaged him telling to come to game. I get the message sayng u cant talk to this person(basically). So he turn off the whisper and removed me from his f list. Man this is ****ed up, wtf is wrong with people i though he was a ok guy till now and now im pissed off because all my shit is gone that i worked hard at getting, now i got to ****ing start all over again and hope that i can get the stuff that i lost ****ing gay.
