Does registering on Blizzard mean I'm registered on D2?

Hi, I have had this game for ages, but lost it, and bought it again. I can remember my account name, but I don't remember registering or my password. There is no email in my inbox when I request one and there seems to be no way of 'registering' for Diablo II. I registered for this in the hope it would work for D2 but it doesnt. Can anyone help me?

Registering the game itself is not the same as registering for the d2 online account and they do not interchange information. If you did not register for the online account when you created it, blizzard can not help you with it. The other thing to consider is how long ago you last logged into your account, blizzard does delete inactive accounts after (i think its, but i'm not positive) 3 months.

Yeah I thought as much. I just bought a new copy of the game, and it never gave me the option to register. Oh well, thanks anyway. I think it has been longer than 3 months it's just my friends account is still there and he hasn't been on longer than me.
