Software exception Error PLz help

the exception unkown software exception (0xc0000417)
occurred in the application at location 0x1009083b.

pops up randomly with no patterns mid game play

i didnt have this problem untill 2 days ago it randomly started anyone know how to fix this

Are u trying to bot when this happens? Or does it happen when u are playing d2 normal without hacks?

What os are u running? windows xp/windows vista/windows 7?

i downloaded the bot 3.1 it worked perfect for 3 days randomly started giving this error
and it works fine without the bot

i am trying the d2video test it is set to d3 so i click d2 then ok
i reopen to check if its changed and it hasnt?? stuck on d3

Are u running d2nt manager as admin? Did u make any changes to the bot after it was working perfect?

yes im using d2nt as admin i also have reinstalled diablo twice and the bot twice also run diablo as admin i have done defrag / error checking

when i had the bot working perfect i did make some custom changes to diablo file in d2nt
all the errors that i notice pop up while running chaos after the changes though
but i figured redownloading would reset my changes
so i did that and i still get the error
i have disabled diablo boss and now running baal, meph, trav, countess who i have not changed anything on and error has occurred

it seems not to be my changes to d2nt files becaus iv redownloaded and used the defualt and error pops again

I have the same problem. I had a different problem so I deleted and downloaded again. Now I can't get into a game. I get the message the error oxc0000417 at location ox10090a62. I have tried a few times now. Same thing. What's going on? I don't know how to tell if I'm running as administrator but, from looking at the other post here I don't think that is the problem. I'm running windows 7 64 bit. I can play just fine by myself. Botting is my only problem.

Try not putting in the cd key. Leave it blank. I have had the problem for 2 days and I tried it and my sorc is running. She's picking up items that she's not supposed to but she's on her 2nd run.

Right Click Icon -> Run as Administrator.

Runetime Errors are problems within the program its self. Normal a corruptted dll file in your system32 folder. Reinstall should fix this problem, and also run Reg Cleaner after u uninstall or delete the Diablo 2 Directory. This will get all the reg inters out so you can install fresh.


Also with some program that were not built to run on Vista or Windows 7. Disabling UAC ( User Access Control ) my fix alot of your problem. But also not that if you do this you decrees security

Running Anti Virus is a Must and also Check MSconfig for any unknown programs running on your system.
click Start
Run
Type "msconfig"
Select Startup Tab
Uncheck
Apply
Ok
Ok
Reboot


Remember when your system boots back up. You will get a dialog box saying you just ran msconfig. Uncheck the little bow and click ok, but if you dont the next time you reboot it will come up again.
