Question about editors

I have never used editors / hacks etc so bear with me.

With d2 editor / hero editor / whatever
Would I be able to create a level 50 char with legit level 50 stats (health/mana) and just pick it up from their and level it like it was legit?

Some of my friends are playing tcp / ip and I just wanted to pick up right where they are in the levels and play with them.

Also - any sites that will tell me stat allocation per level for class would be great.

Yeah you would have to first make the char manually then go to the editor of your choice and just put it to level 50 then just 5x49 to get the stat points and just enter that into the stat point section save and enter game and now u can just add the stats your self same with the skills

To answer the second part of your question,The Arreat Summit will give you all the basic info your looking for. Especially Life and Mana per level as well as quest rewards,ect.Good luck.
