Just lost my BOT Virginity!

So it's long been a dream of mine to play Diablo 24/7 without having to sleep rolleyes: so I figured I'd give this D2NT Bot a shot. I downloaded the bot and was setup (after a little tweaking) in about 10-15mins.

I found everything to be very easy and self explanatory so I didn't need to look up any guides.
Sure the default scripts could use some tidying up and tweaking but there's plenty of those online and I'll get to those soon enough. If there is any advise I can give it's to watch your bot do at least 1 run, but a few would be even better. Just to make sure there are no errors (missing waypoints etc) and that your bot is picking up items that you would like to keep. I was a little upset at a few things I caught my sorc selling to Malah mad:. For example she sold a 31% Extra Gold GC with 28% Cold Resist. That would have been nice for a GF Barb. And I like to keep all Jewels so I configured the script to do just that.

You might even want to keep a second character in the game just in case you see the bot sell something you wanted to keep. Hopefully it wasn't a unique or eth, because those items are recycled instantly.

I can see myself writing some scripts if I don't come across what I'm looking for, as there are some imperfections in the bots performance.

One last thing.
Before you start botting Hell, it might be a good idea to make sure you can bot NM safely. :p

Question...why do you play a game you only want to bot 24/7? Is there a point?

It's not that I want to bot 24/7, it's that I want to play 24/7.
Running the bot means I can get more sleep instead of playing for 17 hours.

Think of it like trying to quit smoking. You chew nicotine gum instead of smoking, but your still getting the nicotine.

I don't smoke ,but it seems like everyone around me does....I DO see what you are getting at,however.
In the game I play (FFXI) any account caught botting is banned,your stuff taken and your character deleted.
It wont matter how high your level is or how great your gear is....pretty much you are history.

That's a risk you take boting or using any sort of 3rd party tool/hack. It's only a game though.
I had all my accounts banned for accidentally using my single player configuration on battle.net.
(A shortcut that used D2Loader for Single Player item transfers.)

The amount of stuff I lost (54 Mules + 2 chars) and the value it carried in the game was epic.
Mules full of SOJ's, High Runes, Organ Sets and GG rares + all sorts of 1.08 items.

But here I am still playing the game.
Look at Hardcore, they players have everything deleted if they die and then have to start over again.
Having the CD-Keys banned would be the worst...

Well everyone says FFXI is dead but I play everyday! I just play by the rules and treat other players with respect,and have made some very tight friendships over the years.
For me it is the storyline,and player interaction that is so appealing. Good luck with your game and bots! Have fun!
