One Last Run at Diablo 2

So, I'm sure we are all ecstatic about the upcoming release of Diablo 3 after years of rumors but i was thinking we could all take one last grand shot at our long time favorite game. i remember back when i had dial-up internet and i could only spend my pre-teen weekends playing single player and having to push to make myself better at the game the old fashion way, actually playing the game. I want to get a group together and spend the last days of Diablo 2 playing the game the way it was meant to be played and make my way through hell without the fast rushing and over exaggerated character building that the game has become. Of course this was always difficult to do, as it should be. Would anyone like to take part and overthrow Diablo's horde for old times sake?

I'm thinking run the game quest by quest, adding stats to wear the gear you find and skills to suite your needs. trading with only those who participate and never using your bot to do the dirty work for you. Anyone game for the challenge?devilish:

Never played Diablo2...yeah I know the irony of this.What you are suggesting is how I played FFXI.After 8 years of playing that,earning uber gear and weapons and gil,and leveling my character to 90 on 6 jobs I felt it was time to move on.I turned down offers to buy her ,one at 1000$ and simply gave her to a friend.I hope you get some people willing to do this with you! I might do it, but unfortunately I would do it solo. This would echo my first play of D2, which I remember involved sitting in the dark as I faced Diablo for the first time. It was an epic battle, my basic Barbarian running around to avoid his fire attacks and bone prisons. I think it took a good 10 minutes, at least, which involved a couple of pauses to wipe my sweaty hands off. Fun times, definitely.

I'd start again, but when I play the game, I have an obsessive need to get the best items which leads to addiction. I think I'll just wait for D3 to come out. The beta has been released for internal testing! That's news for the past few days.
