Easy question

I am using D2NT and having a small issue, though it is nothing really big. My Character seems to pick up a few things of gold and goes right to town to talk to Akara for no reason, and he is not cursed. This seems to only happen in the pits, as I said it is not a big issue just a tedious problem lol. Any help would be very appreciated ^_^
