Help with this plz?! (ff xi)

.. ok well recently a friend of mine.. decided he wanted ff xi so badly that he simply walked into wal mart took it out of the box and walked out... then it turned out that his brother had bought the game THAT same day.. LOL... well he decided to give me "his" copy of the game.. but what my question is... can they detect that the game was stolen? I mean can it even be possible.. I dont think it is.. doesnt seem logical.. but you know.. before I start messing with square.. I better know some shit right?

They don't do it with £1500 software suites, so it's unlikely they'd do it with a £30 computer game. There is some software that you can only buy online, so they can activate a CD key, per purchase.

FFXI is sold worldwide so theres no way you'd have to worry. When you open an account you should have to give them a CD key or something similar. Your problem might be that the CD key is on the manual or something that wasn't... procured at the time of 'purchase' maybe?

well.. my friends crazy and addicted to stealing I think.. o.O.. so he got the booklet to be safe.. it has all the keys!..

My friend use to open DvD's take the security device out and walk out with them

dvds isnt anything.. i've watched my friend get away with stealing a Geforce fx 256 mb video card.. and get ****ing away with it TWICE... and also a rad. 9600.. this guys freaking completely insane.. o.O

My local Best Buy was having problems with their employees making off with some of their stuff, so they've started checking the jackets and pockets etc of the people that work there as they leave.
