hey im a noob here, and just recently started playing. can someon explain to me how to get the character downlaod to work. I downloaded it from here, the file is called Linda. does it work on battle.net? also i downloaded a set item file, with all set items. if someone could explain to me how to get these to work, that would be appreciated.

You can only play with those on open B.net, also download Hero Editor.

i got it from here, www.d2sector.net, what is the difference between open and closed battle.net? also could u explain to me how, i can get these files to work. where do i need to put them?

In open you can play with characters that are stored in your computer. In closed the characters are stored in a server, so you can't edit them.

Just put the character you downloaded in your save folder. And if you wan't to use the items get Hero Editor.

well, KillerKadoogan don't really look like you have played diablo a hole lot i would not reqest a editor right yet play on closed make a liget chr(s), If you start cheating now.. then this game will get boring quick

If you Just wanna play open, then try not to hack your chr to much.. try beating the game first , learn how to build chrs.. and game info

If you Wanna Start Legit, You might Wanna Build a sorc first.. A meter or blizzard sorc is the best they have the most dmg..
Seance u have no iteams. get a high deface low str req 4 Open socketed armor.
Put perfect topaz in it (Gems) same with Helm but they only come with 3 sockets.
Do magic find runz. Meph (act 3 Boss) is one of the easy bosses to beat if you wont i can Pm u a screen shot on how to kill him without gettin hit.
If you wanna get Big in this game your lookin at mounths of game play, Ive Been playig / was playing for about 3-4 years ;( yes i no its sad.. Pm Me if you need any help i know pretty much anything u wont to know

Also once you have some decent items from Mephisto try getting some decent hammerdin equiment. Here's waht me use.

Once you have some off that stuff you'll be unstopable, i could kill andy hell level 59 all by meself.
Then when you feel its ready go mf in these places

Mausoleum --- Act 1, Burial Grounds
Maggot Lair Level 3 --- Act 2, Maggot Lair Level 2
Ancient Tunnels --- Act 2, Lost City
Sewers Level 2 --- Act 3, Sewers Level 1
Forgotten Temple --- Act 3, Upper Kurast
Ruined Fane --- Act 3, Kurast Causeway
Disused Reliquary --- Act 3, Kurast Causeway
River of Flame --- Act 4, City of the Damned
Chaos Sanctum --- Act 4, River of Flame
The Worldstone Keep Level 1,2,3 --- Act 5, The Arreat Summit

ALL items can be droped at this place.
