for some reason i can't put gems or runes into any socketed item. it just won't let me. i've tried and retried with all kinds of items (just socketed, magic w/ sockets, unique w/ sockets, etc) but nothing works. my friend could do it normally, but he quit diabloII so i can't get him to do it anymore. have any of you guys had this problem before? when i drag the gem or rune over to the item and try to put it in, nothing happens. any way to fix this?

Lol, ahhhh yep yep the old socket bug. Its not a bug actually. The reason: Your maphack is on (i bet) and the maphack has a socketprotector built in so when your maphack is on, and you try putting gems, runes or jewels in a socketed item, it will stop it from being socketed. To solve this just remove maphack while u socket and insert maphack once ur done

You could change the charms' color back to blue even though you have your map hack on. (If you like blue better)
