help with mod

can sum1 explain to me how a mod would work? could i use it in b.net? if there were new items would they work in b.net. is it detectable??

A mod is an alteration of the game. It is used on single player/open battle.net only.

there is some unofficial closed realms you can play on. but you need to search for them (some are private)

most major mods replaces ur patch_d2.mpq. so alwayz back it up.

others run with the -direct -txt feature..

really just head to phrozen keep and check out what they got there to say.. its IMHO best place for mods

Theres many mods, Ancestral Recall, The Hordes of Chaos, Middle Earth, (long list ) and they basically change the 'playableness' of the game, edited names, maps, items, skills, graphics, crafting, hardwire changes, the works. lik nubli said, it can be played on open or single, if on open and u make the game, others that join will be able to play your mod also but modded char's usually canot be played /w regular chars.

Go to the phrozen keep for some good mods. Also, go to http://www.volf.biz for cool mods. Just don't post more than twice a day, they are foreign and think it's spam. I have 2 warnings already and they were both unwarranted. So I just stopped posting.
