1.10 ladder sorc

i want to make a mf ladder sorc on ladder, and i was wondering..i want to make a fire/cold sorc so what skills should i put my points into along the way?

try checking out the sorc guides that are in char development, the one that is a sticky thread; look for mayb a meteorb sorc they seem to be the best mf sorc's out there.

all of that is for rich ppl and im trying to start from scratch on ladder... so any strategy/comments?

well im guessing 'scratch from ladder' as in the next ladder season, so go for a blizz sorc, kills pind n meph fast.

meteor works for poor ppl just get vmagi/ptopazed armor and u can also use other topaz gear, just stand away from meph's range and meteor to death. Max fball,meteor fire mastery and other synergies and you'll do fine.

I also use a Cold/Fire sorcy; specifically Frozen Orb / Meteor.

Roughly 503 MF w/o Charms and w/o boots
631 MF after charms (83%) and boots (45%)


With my current gear giving me +8 to skills, my Warmth is at slvl 9 and it refills pretty nicely, though a few more points would probably be better.

I have a question for my build though. I'm stuck with 181 stat points remaining plus more when I level. I have 2 options in mind.

1) Should I dump the rest of my stat points into Vitality in order to survive Nightmare and Hell fairly well and maybe boost Warmth a bit more.

or

2) Should I dump everything into Energy and learn Energy Shield?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I also hope that helped your question on the MF Sorcy build, Ambience.

when i made my sorc, i decided to put my points into vit instead of learning energy shield, just once less spell i have to worry about, and i am doing pretty fine with my energy less than 100, mayb somewhere in the 80's or so. if you have some mana regen, you should be fine the most mana i seem to use is when im teleporting. if you are casting meteors, there is a waiting period until you can cast another, so thats time for the mana to regen, and orb doesn't take too much from your mana. when i built mine, however, i maxed out fireball cause in 1.10 they have seemed to increase dmg or something, it can do some pretty good damage. i guess i just put more emphasis on my fire and less on cold, as u have done more on cold and less on fire. heh somehow i got crappy MF gear, its only in the 300's, but soon i'll prob have better gear..someday...

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. I only drain all of my mana when I'm teleporting in Act 2 (ugh, my most hated act) and tele'ing in baal runs. I just want to find the best solution for life so I don't die so easily. Nightmare is easy for me, I'm worried about Hell. =P
