Unreal Vs. Half-Life

Despite this being in a D2 forum, I'm still going ahead asking the question "whats better?" Unreal or Half-Life? :confused:
Personnally I like the Unreal franchise better because I'm a little bit more into the bot-match/sci-fi shooting kinda stuff, like in Halo and Quake.

I totally agree Muder. Half-life revolutioned fps games in single a mutliplayer and even mods. It is the best utilization of the Unreal engine of it's time and even more so for years after it's release. Half-life 2 is deffinately going to be an incredible game.

I'm all about the UT series. I live for the intense speed it runs at, and the unrealism of the combat. I really can't stand most realistic fps's because they play too slow to me, wheras UT is the perfect speed. 200% game speed is a fun challenge too.

2 very diffrent games you cant compare the 2 its like war craft vs command and conqer. even though i say that i choose unreal does half life have cars???

they are diffrent half life is realistic FPS and unreal is sci-fi FPS 2 diffrent things

They are different in that Half-life takes in more strategy into the game where as Unreal is more whoever shoots first (depending on their accuracy) has a better chance of winning and it's fun to see how many guys you can pull into a corner and nail with a rocket. Where as half-life there's more than capture the flag and such. But the thing is they are both sci fi fps games and both run off the Unreal engine so you can easily compare the two.

Ya half life and/or its mods (counterstrike) ^^ is the best set of first shot games b/c its so perfect like awp it does too much dmg .. but it also cost the most.. things like that make this game the best

Unreal Tournament - good
Unreal Tournament 2003 - same as original UT only shiny
Unreal 2 - crap
Unreal Tournament 2004 - good

So since Unreal has more in the series the comparison isn't really fair.
