Playing with no CD.....

I'm trying to play with no cd using D2 Loader. I have copied all the files over thats needed, but when i start diablo it comes up saying insert diablo 2 (LOD) cd. with the options "Cancel", "Retry" and "Continue". If i keep clicking any of them a few times the game will then load with no cd. But with this I am unable to run Pindlebot. Is there anyway to stop diablo 2 from looking in the cd drives first?

copy all of the files from the cd onto your harddrive

copy d2xmusic.mpq and d2xvideo.mpq from the cd into the d2 directory..

I've aready copied those files into the directory, thats how I can play with no cd, its just it searches all my drives a few times before starting the game.

New information: Even if I have the disk in the drive and click play diablo ii from the autoplay menu it still searches other drives. So it must be something to do with a setting on my computer.

Way around it: I have managed to get it working, by using Alcohol 120% and creating an image of the disk and mounting it on the virtual drive. Then going into the Virtual drive properties in Alcohol and under "Volumes" selecting Populate list.

open the game with the exe file that the loader gives u u r trying to open it with the original

no i'm not, i've renamed the original "Diablo II.exe" to "Diablo II.old.exe" and then using the D2 Loader "Diablo II.exe" to launch the game.

aha, a european folk, i dont know what the currency difference is tho it probably ends up being about the same amount as it is in canada
