Copy a Character?

Can I use HE to copy my sorc? I'd like to have a character (sorc2) that I can use to play with someone else over a local network connection, but still maintain my sorc1 to play by myself when I want. I've been through the game on "Normal", so all the quests have been completed. When I use sorc1 to join a game with my buddy (he hasn't finished "Normal" yet), all the quests that he hasn't completed yet, are. So I'd need to copy and reset my character so that none of the quests have been completed, I guess. I don't really want to create a new character from scratch.

I hope that made sense... Any thoughts?

Your friend needs to create the game, thus the quests aren't done yet.
