Scaning Downloadable Files

I have found several didfferent hacks to download on websites but I dont know how to check to see if they have a virus or trojan or whatever.
How can i scan to make sure they are safe to download?

give the link to me or so, i'll check it if you want.
You can always use ur virusscanner to check if it has some trojan or keylogger in it.

I got same prob, when i tell it to scan a certain file it scans the whol damn comp.

It's 99% trojan if it's a dupe, tradehack or something similar. If it's also .exe it's trojan for sure.

What about reg files online..like if you need a certain program but the sites sketchy what would we use to scan it before downloading it?

just download the file in compressed zip file then scan it...a progam cant run if its in a compressed folder
