I was having trouble with temp bans and thought that it was because I had mh on earlier but I figurered out that it was the cd key I was using.
I was using 2 keys. 1 worked on asia only and I wanted to play on us east so I changed to my other key which worked and connected to us east, but once I got to the char screen I got the realm down error (temp ban). I then got this error on every realm so I went back to my other cd key and I was still banned. This lasted about 5 minutes and then my cd key that worked on asia only worked again. I went back to the other cd key and got a temp ban again. I made sure mh was not in memory and everything dodgy was turned off and then after lots of trial and error I finally decided to change my cd key and find another one that worked on useast. When I finally did that the problem was fixed and has been for a couple of days now.
From this I have found out that the cd key I had would let me log in, but after it did it would temp ban me and not let me pick a character.
