I need help with a mod

I downloaded the Cheaters Choice Mod v3 for 1.10 Final, and i cant seem to get it to work. I dont undertand where ot post the stuff and the...er... well this

"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct-txt

becuase i post it in the short cut thing and it says


" The name 'C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe' spesified in the target box is not valid Make sure the path and File name are correct"

Heh i dont know...^^; maybe i am just imcompitnet or need to reinstal my D2...any one have any ideas on what i need to do?

Well, heh.. I'm not one to talk, I haven't tried that mod XD But I know how to get any regualar mod to work


First, make a file i.e. : C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Cheat
Second, make a desktop shortcut of Diablo II (lod)
Third, unzip the mod into the file (in this case it's C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Cheat)
Fourth, right click the desktop shortcut, enter properties.
Fifth, change "Start in" to "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Cheat" - Exactly as written.
Sixth, hit the "Apply" Botton, no error should occur
Seventh, enter Diablo II (lod) And go on SINGLE PLAYER (test)
If able to enter game, and use the mod, you're golden

If this doesn't work, I'll check it out myself, just PM me and I'll figure out all out XD

lol thanks for helping me....er..or well i dont know if it works yet. heh i had to install my d2 again cause...i screwed up or something Meh. Thats ok through. Im dl the patch again...but my aol is being a whore and is reconnecting itself so i may have lost my connection to the server wih mean the hour i have been sitting here waiting for it to be done and now i is finaly at 60+ % will have been wasted! >_< Gah! I hate aol!

Seems like you added the example as your shortcut target

If this is the path to where your Diablo II.exe is
"C:\Path to\your\Diablo II.exe"
then you add -direct -txt
and the new target looks like this "C:\Path to\your\Diablo II.exe" -direct -txt

-direct -txt command makes the game read from the data folder its just like if you want to play in windowed mode you would ad
