im having trouble with the cheaters choice mod it wont let me do what it says to do with it and i was wondering if i could get a lil help sry if i posted in the wrong spot in all

ya i have experience with cheaters choice mod; this is placed in the wrong section, i believe mods threads are officially supposed to be placed in the "bots and editors" section, but i guess i can help ya out. specifically what is the problem that you are having with it, are u having trouble installing the mod or something? just follow the readme and do what it says. if u are having problems just tell me exactly what the problem is, thnx.

hmm i was wondering if it went into the cd follder or the one in the c/: drive

you put it in the one on C drive, it should look like c:\programfiles\diabloii, just copy everything from the zip file into that folder. Be warned though it will screw up you instillation so you won't be able to use b.net if you want to. I just use a cd crack for the mod so i can have the mod installed and still play on b.net

Once you run the Mod it screws up your .dll file i think, and so you're always running in the Mod. if you wanna run both, download a no cd crack, make a copy of you D2 folder, and put the no cd crack into the copy. Put the Mod into the copied folder. Then you can run the Mod, and you can just run D2 normally off the CD if you wanna play on b.net.

Wondering what you wanted to use it for,, Its a a different version of the game not a tool :

Before you install the mod back up the original files,, to uninstall just copy back the original files and you can play on bnet again

a much easier way is just to make a new folder in the d2 directory, and then saving all the stuff in that folder. this way you do not need to move any of the original files or anything. when u go to make a shortcut, u just make the target thing or whatever that folder, and ur all set.

Thats also a good way especially if you play often online.

Anyway CCM4 was the last of my mods that replace existing files,, next mod will have a custom mpq and custom dlls so no filereplaceing will be required.. I might also update ccm4 to use the new system at a later date or release a new version,, but currently A pledge to Evil is a priority

oh ya lol i forgot that u are volf hehe; great job on the CCM series they really are cool. (well at least 3 and 4 which i've played). heh its too bad the Volf Mod was cancelled; that seemed like it was gunna be really cool.

Yea, i use different name here, and my old sig had dissapeared 8didnt notice,
For volf mod project the word canceled wasnt realy the right word,, worked 13 months on the project and my hd got fried then i tryed to fix it for 3 months and failed,, after that i hired a pro to try and sort the hd,, that only got me broke,, so finally I gathered what i could from the project then gathered a large team of modmakers and now we are developeing a mod called A Pledge To Evil,, a demo in my sig,, the new project has got more potential than volf mod ever had,,
