Diablo 3 OR Expansion

Alright it seems everyday that there is someone new (some even not so new) that comes to the forum and makes a thread asking about diablo 3 or an expansion. I made this thread for everyone to post any rumors or anything else they heard about diablo 3 in one area and cut down on the number of pointless threads about this, that are floating around D2 Sector. Right now there are no public announcments of a diablo 3 OR expansion even coming out anywere in the near future, therefor any rumors you hear are simply word of mouth. As of right now any information regarding diablo 3 or and expansion pack are all rumors. Feel free to post any rumors or information you hear about diablo 3 in here.

As most of the D2 Develporer team quit, i dont think we will be seeing a new Expansion, Or a new game. Most likely, there will be a few more patches, as the game still runs strong, but after that its up to Blizzard.

Yea exactly. The main focus was WoW..which is pretty much diablo mixed with fable and since this is such a huge hit why would they try and make a d3...its just pointless 'cause i was reading some of the skills for WoW and they are exactly the same skills from diablo 2..if blizzard got lazy with making new skills then im sure they are not going to make a completely new expansion or game.

Agreed Escaron, I dont think there will be another diablo expansion or game coming out. I think diablo has come to an end and battle.net is just going to maintain it, but we needed one of these threads around here to prevent all these pointless threads about it. Id also like to thank whom ever stickied my thread.

hmm well i have 1 comment i thnk d3 if they ever decide to make it should be about how tyreal was actually using the humans to do heavens bidding. considering angels and god cannot interfere with the world of man they used ur character to stop the legions of hell and i wnat to know why tyreal also destroyed the world stone. what was trhe point if there are no more lods of evil.

the conciqences actually were the restart of everything exept every monster is way stronger

What your saying is that its just going from one difficulty to the next... when you kill baal and tyreal does his thing of breaking the worldstone, you 'win' and go to nightmare, repeat, then go to hell.

Btw, theres already a VERY OLD thread about Tyreals purpose I made a long time ago and everyone had their views on him, such as him being the next boss in d3 we have to fight, him betraying god, etc etc.

And D3, I agree, probably wont come out for quite some time, since Bnet is focusing mostly on WoW, which is a combinationg of Starcraft and D2.

Diablo 3?...i, personally, dout it. There really isnt anywhere for a diablo3 to go. you've already killed the 3 major evils and most the minor evils. they cant just bring diablo, baal, or mephisto back. maybe like one more patch...soon, Daiblo2 is gonna be dead to Blizzard.

Here's what I've been told by someone close with Blizzard:

WoW is now out so they can divert their attention elsewhere.

Next game will most likely be Starcraft: Ghost.

Once all that is said and done, DiabloIII will be going into full mode. I heard something about DiabloIII being in the thought stages right now.

Ya D2 does need some change... like onec you beat it and everything with all the chars like what is there to do?? there needs to be new classes and stuff... maybe like you could be evil in D3 (if blizz is gonna make it) if you could be evil that would be cool ( I think).

DiabloIII should be like World of Warcraft. There are enough classes, just make up the world

i'm looking forward to Guild Wars myself, was designed by most of the Blizzard North team (D2 team), they split apart from blizzard after hearing the plans for WoW, which is where they got the idea for Guild Wars, its not out yet, but soon, i have friends in the beta and they said its alot like WoW, except its free to play online

i hear all these games that blizzards doing, the only one that i would be interested in is Diablo 3, i have played many types of games like the command & conquer series of games, Nox, starcraft, warcraft, and i dont like any of them. Diablo 2 is by far the best in my opinion because its got what many other games dont, the way the items are generated you kill a monster items drop. You have good items you can trade for other stuff, i like the skills and the classes D2 LOD has. I wont waist my money on any other game until (IF) Diablo 3 comes out. Wich i dont think its going to.

All I have to say is if they do make a D3, I just hope to god it has better graphics...hands down.

i dunno...i mean, i obviously agree that we need more classes and skills and stuff, cuz there's only so many builds, etc. BUT i think that if they spend too much time developing the graphics and stuff, then it will detract from the gameplay and the fun that the game will provide...like d2, it definitely has to have massive replayability, cuz that's the only reason ppl replay d2...and there's gotta be a nice strong MF engine. there's my two cents...

agreed foog, graphics should be an important part in d3 (if they make it) but what good is graphics if the game is no good? there needs to be a good solid MF engine, along with new characters, items, terrains, monsters, bosses ect.
