What's Your Favorite Video Game?

Hey everybody,

I recently caught a few ads on Spike TV for their upcoming Video Game Awards (it airs Dec. 14th but I'm not sure what time, check out their website if you want) and thought to start this thread to see who everyone thinks should win the award for game of the year. Maybe we could tally up the replies here and then compare them to which game actually wins that night? It might be cool too to send these results to Spike TV after we're done, especially if our favorites aren't on their list. So I'm going to dig around and try to find a way to contact them too.

Here's this year's choices from Spike's website (if you don't agree, just put down your favorite):

Burnout 3: Takedown (Electronic Arts)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Rockstar Games)
Half-Life 2 (Vivendi Universal Games)
Halo 2 (Microsoft Game Studios)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (Konami)

Also, what's your all-time favorite? (I'm predicting Super Mario Brothers and CS will top the list here.)

Off of that list i'm gonna have to go with GTA:SA although i have a funny feeling that Halo 2 will win. My all time favorite game though is definitely Final Fantasy Tactics. I just love that game.

Out of the list, if I were to vote, GTA:SA. In my own opinion however, Final Fantasy Xi should be there...but it's not as big in pop culture as GTA so I guess not...

id have to go with gta:SA becuz its kool and then id have to go second with burnout3 and then last is my all time fav becuz i just cant get enough of it even after playing almost 4 ears on it is diablo2

out of the list, GTA, but, out of all games, i would have to say Chronicles of Ridd i c k: Escape from Butcher Bay, for the PC, i'm getting it for x-mas, but i've read a ton of reviews, and all i've read about it, they all agree it is better then halo 2

I like the first Metal Gear: Solid, Silent hill, Suikoden 1 and 2, and Chrono Cross is another one of my favorites.

I have to go with half-life 2. The graphics are amazing! Anything you do effects your enviroment. I think this is the most realistic game ever. It's also very fun. I dont think Half-Life gets what it deserves because I think anybody can enjoy that game for hours. The only reason it isnt talked about much is cuz its not very well known to too many people.

pc: Diablo 2 LoD / Battlefield 1942 ( as long as ur playin online )
ps2:hmm..the gta series, the tony hawk series...frequency and amplitude (amplitude = frequency 2) Dave Mirra 2
xbox: Amped and Amped 2 are awesome games...halo 2 only on multiplayer/xbox live
gamecubeonic adventure 2:battle , super smash bros:melee, Cel Damage, any goldeneye game for the gamcube is awesome for multiplayer!!
Nintendo 64:Super Mario64, wave race64, 1080°
Playstation: Dave Mirra series
Game Boy Advance: Super Mario 3
Super Nintendo:the Mario series ( i mean every mario-related game - mario bros., mario kart, mario paint, every one) any zelda game for the snes
Sega Genesis: the Sonic series
NES(original nintendo):duckhunt, mario, metroid
