Ok listen you ****ing punks, there's a simple way to prove rap owns: go to www.launch.com and look for the top 10 chart on the rightside, 7/10 are Rap or R&B. That's right hahaha, why don't I see rock rule the top 10 if it's good?

Because the majority of the world is ignorant and trying to keep up with the trends. Rap being that current trend. Just because something is popular it doesn't mean it's better. Rap lacks the dynamics and complexity of alot of rock music, granted not all rock music is like that, and if you look at the legends of music you will find many are rock musicians. The sound of modern music comes from Jazz, Blues, Swing, and Big Band music for the most part. The thing is since most rap is synthesized it's not hard to write a song sine you don't even have to know how to read music or understand it's principals.

And synthing a song is easy I did that for my final in Music Fundamentals where I made a mock rap song, it was pretty funny to. Also rap is built upon some very basic things money, sex, drugs, and hard life. Hey guess what? Rock was built upon these same things, in some cases. If you look at it alot of the rap you hear is basically punk with a more pleasing sound. It's about defying authority, drugs, sex, and *****ing about your life. Now this is not a generalization of all rap just most of the ganster rap and the Nelly's and Eminem's out there.

I can respect Tupac and other Rappers unlike you who couldnt respect a musician even if he payed you to. People listen to Pantera, Nirvana etc each has lost members. You just assume that once a band loses one of there members the band is forgotten and isnt listened to. Anyway this kid is probably in Junior High where I've heard the skater fad is still around. Oh yeah also skaters are known for listening to punk for the most part in case you didn't know.
