Question about finding RUNES

i heard that you can do countess runs to get some good runes. Does that mean you can run her over and over even if you've gotten the quest, and still get good runes? and what are the usual runes found from her?

Best help I can give you is that she drops the most runes more often than anyting in game and also can only drop UP TO Vex rune.

countess drop runes nomatter what.. usally low n crap the best i got so far was hel n jo rune.

Hell countness does drop runes every time you kill her. They may not all been good but its worth it if u do them quick and over and over. The best ive found in a single run is mal.

And although some might not think zod is good...well for me.....i hate going to repair my items...

id say i did like 200+ countess runs in 09 and dident find anythign betetr then sol, its a waste of time

I'm playing Diablo II on battlenet, and can't find runes. I beat the single player game on normal level then did most of act I on nightmare, and never found one. Where are they, do they show up later?

they show up whenever they want to, its possible to enter blood moor in norm for your first time, kill your first monster, and get an el rune or somethig like that. its not correlated to mf or anything, just plain luck.

lol there is no such thing as a jo rune. you might be thinking of "io".

I just did 10 runes today from countess and i may be lucky or she may be on fire, but i got an ko and an io

lol!!I found a nef rune while fighting a vile hunter in dark woods i think...

For the countess she can drop up to vex (#26) which means she can drop IST!
also mal and ko for sanctuary runeword, too bad she cant drop ohm..


anyway to find awesome runes off her get a light sorc with heavy dmg as she is cold/fire immune mostly and/or get a merc with perf eth bonehew to kill her fast

if u kill her in 2-3 seconds u can usually get an ist or vex

i've done around 74 runs 30 seconds each which is average for sorc

i found
4 ko's
1 mal
6 fal's
2 amn's
and 3 sols

hmmmmmmmm i should try this with my pally.. very storng and a demon killer just gotta switch to my unique choas armor (more demon dmg) and it will be ex as pie

hmm faster? i just tried killing her really fast with my demon killer(or dclone killer :p) pally and merc and all i got best was a sol and i can kill her in one hit really fast(so much ias) so my question is, when is the right time to kill her? i run up to her and like 1 sec into her saying, i kill her.

Best way to find good runes? E-Z, patience and alot of Countess runs in hell...bout 100 runs gave me x1 Ist, x6 Io, x4 Lum, x1 Lem, x1 Ko, x1 Um, x2 Hel, and also lots of Shaels. Guess I was really lucky with the Ist.
