Online Video Game Cheating/Hacking

What do you think about the rising topic of online video game cheeating/hacking?

Too an extent I think it's appropriate (maphack on D2). But once aimbots and invincibility cheats come along, I am no longer happy.

the only time i enjoy invincibility is if i wanna learn a level or something, or if i cant get past something. else stuff like mh are fine with me because they just enhance the game imo.

I agree. Some cheating is okay, but there is a line you shouldn't cross.

there is no reason to have to cheat to not die, they don't make games impossible. so try, thats what was intended. except for maphack, that shit is awesome.

online cheating has gone just a little 2 far in my mind, in halo 2 for example(they did fix these but) grabing the flag through the wall, dummy glitching(for thoes of you who don;t know don't ask) but i lead the game and someone glitches their gone.

Ahh tool, was there a point to that post?
I believe that people should'nt have started hacking in the first place, if there was never any hacks in the first place, would we know the diffrence? I hacked on d2, and I kinda regret it, hacking on single player and open bnet probably cut my diablo 2 experiance 25%, if hacking online games never happened, I think I'd still be playin d2. Then theres also botting, that probably is what made me stop playing altogather, because I got so rich nothin really mattered anymore.

Hacking in online game is just pathetic in my eyes, and I mean the ones that completely destroy what the point of the game was in the first place (leveling and gaining items is the point to D2, not exploring maps)... Such as aimbots, invincibility, grab-through wall glitches like in Halo 2 (except for how cool it was to throw the flag through the little hole in the wall in Beaver Creek) and such hacks. I mean, really.. Get a life, hackers.

Tool, I didint see the period, I just glanced and thought it was a blank post. The only type of hacking I think there should be is mods, and only when you have already beaten the normal game.

I am against hacking in all of its forms, I find the original way that it is as the way I enjoy playing the game. In terms of cheats, there are different kinds of it. In some games there are codes that allow a user to make their status stronger (such as invincibility, unlimited ammo, show full map, clipping, etc), and then there are codes that modify the game in such a way that it may not affect the difficulty of the game, but just change things around (like what Tahu, er, Mugen said with mods - some may just modify the game and not necessarily make it easier), and just other codes that just are fun to see (like bigger heads, etc). I try to beat the game before I apply any of the codes to the game, to see if I can be challenged enough to complete the game. Afterwards, or if I am having a particularly troubling time with a mission, I may apply 1 or more of the codes to the game. Basically those are just my thoughts.

Hell if you can find a flaw in the programs system, exploit it! It just makes the programmers redo repair and improve the program.

i think online cheating is inappropriate. some hacks are ok but not others. like a mh, that's not hurting anybody, if it's doing anything, its helping. but sh!t like invicibility n invisibility is just gay.

I don't even like Maphack. I think you should really be good of your own merits and nothing else. To often do I got called hacker in games and it just pissed me off 'cause I never hacked my old WC2 record was 1043-75, I automatically got called hacker for that one, but I was just a good player.

I dunno guys, if a guy has skill, he might as well use it to his own benefit and others by giving whatever he found out/created to other people. I think it makes the game more fun... i mean how else are you gonna get rid of those annoyin little ****ers in duel games who think theyre the shit.

Cheating is a sign of weakness, not of strength nor skill.
The cheater is afraid of challenges and loosing. A classic cheater wont even except a challenge if there is a chance of loosing.

Cheaters, you have a problem witch is out of control but its not to late to get help.
