Any tips for crafting godly amy's? I'm especially trying to makes ones for a cold sorc and hammer pally. I've noticed that even using the 'Blood' recipe that you can get an fcr are mod - is there a lower max here when using a 'Blood' mix instead of 'Caster' or is 15% possible with both? Also, it seems clear that the crafted amy's quality is based off the lvl requirement on the oringinal magic amy used, but what about the jewel? Does that matter as well? Thanks.
Blood = Amn + Amy + Jewel + P Ruby
Caster = Ral + Amy + Jewel + P Amethyst eek:

i have seen godly crafted ammys such as +2 druid skills, 20 fcr and +20 to resists. pretty sure they are duped though, so don't get ur hopes up. crafting takes luck imo

the max fcr mod on a blood ammy would have to be 10%
but the caster ammy can have up to 20% (10%from the craft and 10% from the actual outcome)
also try and use amulets / jewels with HIGH Ilevels (ex. you find and a jewel/ammy off hell baal minions would be better to use then an ammy/jewel you found in act1 coldplains...)

gamble amulets with a high lvl character. and its just luck, really..so keep crafting! i just crafted a 2pally/10fcr/6ll/15res all ammy ^^

I am a complete noob to the world of crafting, so I was wondering, whether it is possible to craft an ammy with +3 druid elemskilles + other mods, i.e. fcr, res all...?

Nope it isn't. I think the +3 Classskill is only possible on blue ammys.

crafted/rare ammies only go up to +2 whether it be class skill or tree skills

OK, so I know amy and jewel lvls influence the crafted amy - but what about your clvl on that char that is doing the crafting? I'm crafting with my lvl 84 pally. Are there mods than I can't get until I'm a higher level or is it only luck that I have to contend with?

The ilvl of a Crafted Item is equal to half the level of the crafting character (rounded down) plus half the ilvl of the input item (rounded down). Put another way: ilvl = int(.5 * clvl) + int(.5 * ilvl)
At ilvls 1-30, there's a 40% chance of 1 affix and a 20% chance each of 2, 3 or 4 affixes.
At ilvls 31-50, there's a 60% chance of 2 affixes and a 20% chance each of 3 or 4 affixes.
At ilvls 51-70, there's an 80% chance of 3 affixes and a 20% chance of 4 affixes.
At ilvls 71+, there's a 100% chance of 4 affixes.
That's from Arreat's, the jewel level does not affect the outcome. Whenever you have a question about Diablo 2 basics just check in Arreat's first.
