Main Differences:
Full Tal Set gains:
+25% resist all, an extra 15% on elemental damage, +1 in the respective masteries and 25% faster hit recovery.
The other setup with Shako and Hoto gains:
1 extra skill point in everything (in the 3 masteries loses 1), +10% Faster Cast Rate, 10% damage reduction, much more life (with Oak Sage),a bit more mana, extra 10 dex points and an extra 50% mf.
In my opinion, although relatively similar, the hoto+shako setup is still preferable. However, after having gone through this comparison, I understand Knightblade's aversion at my comment "never use full set" which was way too strong. The full Tal set is very good for mfing, and it is still worth using if you do not have shako or hoto (the tal rasha helm and wand will be cheaper to trade for too).

i think that this sorc COULD solo hell; remember the game actually requires effort once 1.10 came out. other guaranteed builds are boring because all you have to do is just fire your weapon, and the creature is definitely going to die. in this build, you must actually use a strategy to kill the baddies. im trying it now SP, so hopefully it'll work out well. give the man (woman i guess) a chance.....

i personally do a frozen orbéchain lightnin sorc
5 to warmth
20 to frozen orb
15 to col mastery
20 to chain lightnin
15 to light mastery
1 teleport
to top this off u need tal rash set the armr helm and crystal should be socketed with either and ist or a perf topaz u should have a soj and a nagel ring or 2 nagels. war travs and frostburn gauntlets. and a socketed ss with a ist. u then have a good 400-600 mf. and quite strong enough to take out any monster. this is best used when fighting large amounts of monsters. ie a pit run. or a bloddy run. first timei use i found a ss and a soj runnin the tower.
stats
enough str to equip all equipment i have stated i have 150
nothin to dex
after u get other stats at good levels put everythin else here.

mana regeneration and its a passive skill and sorcs need mana regeneration.......taking a breather....good enuff?

5 to warmth is a waste of points...sorc's have the most pluses to skills out of all chars...but i guess if you have crap gear than 5 will work :-P
