Computer brands for gaming
#1
I've seen some high priced "gaming" computers and i've seen plenty of low to mid priced computers with good specs. is there very much differnece between a 1.8 and 2.8 processor in a practical sense? obviously one's faster than the other.

is dell a good buy? how about emachines i've heard they're trash.

what's a great buy?

If ur gonna go gaming, get an AMD processor (3700 San Diego would be a good choice)

AMD performs better in gaming than most Intel processors.

Keep in mind: 2.0 Amd > 2.0 Intel

Well the Dell XPS is pretty nice since they absorbed Alienware a while back, but I still would just build my own if I were you.

Yep, custom is the best. By the way, I have a VoodooPC, that kicks ass. Check them out.

well you could always get someone to build a custom computer for you. However sometimes this is worst than getting a dell ha!
You said so much without ever parting your lips.

Not really, the X-2 processors can go as fast as any D processor Intel pumps out.

But don't buy those advertised gaming machines from Dell and Alienware, they both would work but are overpriced. Build your own or go to a website that lets you pick out your own parts.

And there is a huge noticable difference between a 1.8 and a 2.8. Also a 1.8 wont run many games nowadays.
