Idea for crushing blow
#21
I planned on getting the axe anyhow. I'll be mf'ing today and should have enough for the Grief (BA), CoH, and Exile by tomorrow. I have all the other gear. If anyone is interested, this is what I'm planning:

Gear:

Armor: CoH
Weapon: Grief
Shield: Exile (with resistances)
Helmet: Guillames
Gloves: Laying of the Hand (I have Dracs too, but no need because of exile)
Boots: Gore Riders
Belt: Nosferatu
Ammy: Highlords
Rings: Raven and Dwarf

Stat Points:

Str: 70 (glitch gear with two +20 strength rings)
Dex: ~100 (I'll probably do 100 even unless someone suggests otherwise)
Vita: Rest
Nrg: Base

Skills:

Max Smite, Fanaticism, Holy Shield and Defiance
1 or more points in meditation and redemption for good measure.

You will definately be low on IAS if using this setup. I would suggest changing Mara's for Highlord and Verdungo for Nosferatu, if you are still missing IAS (DR% on Verdungo is not needed for Trist anyway. The VIT is a bit of a tradeoff, but it's worth it if you achieve the last breakpoint needed for IAS).

Additional Comment:
Bloodangel26 Wrote:BA will break very quickly whereas PB is indestructible. IMO IAS is far more important than range in uber trist...i've never had a problem gettin close enough to them

Depends. BA will break more quickly, but unless it's superior, it won't cost much to repair (Superior BAs will cost HEAPS to repair). You can still achieve the same speed with BA as with PB though, so the range will only be a bonus. It's just a difference of whether it's a walk in the park, or a stroll Wink

Rofl, I ment highlords. You're right about Nosferatu though.

Ok I just calculated. With Berserker Axe Grief (32%IAS) and level 25 Fanatiscm, you will only need 20%IAS from the rest of your equipment. Therefore, I suggest going with Highlord's, Verdungo/Tgods and Steelrends/Dracul's.

edit: Oups, Grief needs to have at least 32% IAS.

edit2: anyway, this will give you a 6 frame attack speed, meaning that you Smite 4 times per second.

Thanks for the calculations, I appreciate that a lot. (I need to learn how to do that)
All I need to buy is the Grief (w/ 32+ ias) and a highlords, I have the rest.

How expensive are they East Non-Ladder?
I think highlords is 1 or 2 sojs, right?
Grief... I have no idea.

If you ever need any IAS calculated:

No idea about East prices, I play Europe.

That's the dumbest idea that I've heard for a long time.

Well, I can't afford Grief BA right now so I'll use EBotD until I can. I'll level tonight and I'll be ready to test my setup tomorrow on closed b.net.

But in single player with my build, it owns uber trist 10-15 secs with Grief BA and about 20-30 secs with ebotd. So, hopefully I get some good torches to trade and eventually buy a Grief BA. But I think I can handle clicking for a few more seconds to have craploads of sojs rather then only clicking for 10 seconds. Wink

you play non-ladder lol. Greif was 15-20sojs+ last time i knew. highlords isn't even an soj though.
As long as darkness flows through my veins, I will never cease, As long as my dreams still haunt me, I will never show mercy, and as long as evil lives I will never die.....
