Photoshop through a network?
#1
Well, here's my problem
my computer is a freakin old pentium 3, with a 7gb hd.
So, as u might've guessed, the hardrive is full, and i barely have enough space to even run windows, so i can't install photoshop =/

My brother's computer though (2.6ghz, 80gb) has photoshoped installed, although when i try to run it through network, i get this error (check the thumbnail)

so if anyone knows how i can fix this, id appreciate any help.

that error usually occurs when it cant read certain files. usually a dll. sometimes it happens through a network when the recieving end doesnt have the same windows os. it will fix itself at times if its a dll but if its a windows issue, try using a matching windows. or even get another old harddrive and connect it to the p3 computer. set it as a slave so you'll have more space

well , unless xp home and xp pro are considered different os's im using the same os on both.I guess i might be able to find some old harddrive somewhere around the house, i just might do that

some programs dont tend to recognise the xps as the same os. I have that problem on and off with video cards cause they got drivers for windows xp, xp 32 bit, xp 64 bit, xp media and xp vista. and now they are doing it for xp corporate, nvidia and adobe are 2 that i know of that have issues with that.

only for some technical things. been busy dealing with some nasty problems in life and building computers for people that are paying me to do it plus paying for the parts. current job is costing around 2.7 grand but is very high quality.
