A pinky. The mean the Pinky and the Brain I think. Which is a cartoon about two lab rats trying to take over the world. I can't believe I remember that lol. Good show. I didn't know pinky was until I thought about it for 8 seconds.

my mom used to have a few ball python, and we bred dwarf hamsters to feed them. We origionally had 2 pythons, and 2 hamsters, and ended up with about 25 hamsters total. Im thinking of getting one of my own. though, but my dad is terrified of snakes, due to an accident when he was a kid. I loved Pinky and the Brain. Didnt Pinky always go "Narf!" or something along the lines of that?

The snakes at the Petco near me cost $80 each. I feed my snake two mice each week, they are like a dollar each, or something like that.

pam - why do you kill them? ~.~ just put them in a bag or something and drive them to somewhere and release them.

palmer - it depends on the snake, and the setup. my baby ball python costed my $50. and since i already had the tank and the lights for it from my other pet, thats all i really had to pay. weekly i buy 1 pinkie for it. they are $1.

Because my kids were retarded and thought it could be played with. They then got a lesson on snakes and recognition. It's a Mom thing. It had also been run over by a 4 wheeler, back was broken, and would have died anyway,I merely facilitated the end result.

No they can get pretty big, and when you move onto rats instead of pinkies the expense can get pretty bad. Luckily they don't ave to eat but once or twice a month when they mature.
my sig! where ever did it go?

I myself have a Albino Burmese in a quite large aquarium on my screened in back porch. I let it out in the back yard a lot, he is almost 7 feet this fall and is getting tired of confinment. My back yard has a 8 foot wooden privacy fence around it so he isn't going anywhere. I would post a picture, but I can't yet so will wait a little while. Nice snake though. Smile

palmer - they do get very big. ball pythons can get up to 6 feet. burms are ridiculously big. if you are thinking about buying a python, go with a ball as your first.

yeah thats what i was reading up on. Read an article that said they are your typical "first snake". As they are very easy to handle, and arent too over demanding.

Although ball pythons can get pretty large, they are generally 3-5 feet, I believe, when mature(females are usually the ones that are 4+).

Also ball pythons are very good as pets because they are very docile after being handled for a while and very rarely become aggressive.

Yup, you should be fine. Just don't squeeze it hard and play around with it's head. Before you buy it make sure you have everything you need.
