yes you take a crap gc for exp. 30 life gc put in a cube with 3 p gems and transmute it rerolls the gc with new stats an so on
takes alot of pgems and alot of crap gcs but worth it

Rolling Charms is fun but takes a lotta gems to get what you want. I find it a waste of time, but you can just trade any crappy item to a nub for like 20 and keep crafting. Still, 40 pgems isnt worth a shako or hoto. shako / hoto worth more

go to battle.net trade forums you will get a shako easily with 40 p gems

i dont think you can reroll runes, if you could everyone would eventually get a zod

you can upgrade runes to a higher # one, but you cant reroll them

ok based from the info above, you must find a grand charm in nightmare with the exact same ilvl as a skill charm, because ilvl is 100% of the charm, so if their both lvl 44, it wont take many tries to roll a skill charm.

ok this is a bit late but ebotd, pgems DO suck. sure you can make element gc's with them, but thats very rare. i dont know how many pgems ive wasted trying to create one, hundreds probably. so in a sense, now that you cant make a ccb w/3 sockets, gems are worthless.

As for ccb's, they were the hottest item back when you could make them. They went for so much. But maybe you know better, since you seem to play d2 a lot. That must be your whole life right?
