EDIT: forgot about teleport LOL
I think i'm going to do this, ty everyone for suggestions.
This setup uses 106 Skill points, you can get 99 + 12 = 108 skill points. So there'd be 2 left over in the end to do whatever you want. (edit: it'll be 108 exactly)
Cold Spells (NONE):
Edit: NONE
Lightning Spells (2):
Telekinesis: 1
Teleport: 1
Fire Spells (Rest):
Firebolt: 20 (2.5 mana cost @ lvl 30)
Fireball: 20 (19.5 mana cost @ lvl 30)
Meteor: 20 (30 mana cost @ lvl 30)
Firemastery: 20
Warmth: 20
inferno:1 -- pre-req
blaze: 1 -- pre-req
firewall:1 -- pre-req
that should be some ownage. As for attr points:
Min for str and dex (items),
all rest vitality.
What do you guys think? I'm hoping with +skills my regen for mana will be INSANE, and fireball doesnt really take that much anyways.
For example, lvl 20 warmth = 258% mana regen
let's say i get lvl 30 with +skills = 378% mana regen
Anyone know the math for me to calculate how much mana regen that is per second? if i can regen faster than i can use it , then it doesnt even matter if i only have 100 mana, right?
Post what you guys think, I've only been playing Diablo for a month. But I usually base my characters on what i think will work. So far they've been precent decent
What do you guys think about this one?
Remember, purely PVP standpoint
Ok, so look @ my build above, and tell me what i should change or put for my attr and skill distribution
With CTA, if i can get like 3-4 K life i think it would work very nicely.
I cant either Max Warmth, Meteor, or Fire Mastery Last
I tested it out on http://www.d2items.com/skills.php
Maxing Fire mastery before Meteor gives more damage to fireball and firebolt.
11 K fireball with synergies maxed (at level 30), and meteor @ lvl 21
10 K fireball with synergies maxed (at level 30), and fire mastery @ lvl 21
Or i could max them all, and THEN do warmth, however warmth is essential to my "master plan" so i don't think i'd risk that. I can risk having a little lower damage.
I think i'll do this, and max meteor last.
Is it really worth it? You're sacrificing like 5-6 points right there.
remember, this is coming from a guy that has never dueled with a sorc, so bare with me if i sound like an ***. Just trying to figure out what works best.
In PVP, how often does TS hit your target and stun him enough for you to kill him?
I'd figure it'd be dog fighting most of the time... tping around and launching spells around... whoever plays the best wins. yes/no?

Rapta111 Wrote:Having good warmth is a reason why you have a large mana pool. It's much like multiple benefits. Having a large mana pool means more mana which damage can be drained from, and more mana also means there's MORE MANA TO RECOVER. This also means that with a large mana pool, your mana not only regens faster because of regen %, but also the fact that it regens faster because you have tons of mana. So the more mana you have, the faster it will regen, and the more mana can be allowed to drain FROM energy shield, ahich allows more mana to cast spells, which allows mana to have more time to regen, which means more mana, and its an entire cycle.
