Why would you be using lidless? It does not give as much fast cast, +skills, OR resists, and many other stats which "hommy" DOES give.

Best choice if you can afford: Darkforce -- Costs around 8 high runes, hopefully ill have one soon.




After this post I'm not going to sit here and argue with someone who thinks they know how to build godly characters for every class. Hommy has ZERO FCR, which apparently you thought it did. If you want to checkout my necromancer then give me a message, *jerzilla on west.nl


Clan duels take place in nightmare, lidless is better option for nightmare because hommy is overkill on the resistances

In Hell use hommy until you can get a darkforce which will work the best in any difficulty mode.

To be godly you MUST have over 125 FCR. The godly of the godly have even more, 170 or so.

I know what the **** im talking about, and im not going to waste my time trying to prove it to some newb that thinks he's always right. I've experimented time and time again with all different items, white wand, wizspike, suicide branch, hoto. having more FCR with a slighty weaker damage is ALWAYS better than having a SLOW FCR with more damage. Necros and casters in general do not stop to chat, they teleport at you, fire their spells, teleport out, then come back and attack you again. I'm done talking to you, you obviously have no idea wtf you're talking about and you're only arguing for the sake of arguing.






in nightmare is having 75 Resist and ~100 more damage (from hommy) worth sacrificing more Mana, Stamina, Life, Defense, and 20% FCR? (from lidless).

just because an item LOOKS better does not mean it'll work better in a godly setup.

and btw, yes my hommy has a perfect diamond in it before you ask. There's only a +3 resistance difference for wasting a um rune in a shield. Oh, and my ammy sucks.... It's only +3 P&B, +74 to life, with the ammy that im supposed to use (rare +2 necro skills, +2 Sorc skills, FHR, FCR, resistances) it'll be even higher and those resistances will probably be maxed while using lidless.

not to mention, my hommy has a perfect diamond in it, my lidless has nothing in it yet.... so resistances rise even more it'll be 69/64/75/61


EDIT: forgot to say, only 3 of those GCs are plain +1 P&B. I'm supposed to have 10, damage will jump even more when i get the other 7. AT THIS POINT 2-4 Bone spirits or bone spears will kill ANY character in the game. It doesnt matter if you're a barb with 4K life. In 1 second you can shoot around 3.5 spears or 3 spirits with 120 FCR. How hard to you think itll be to kill any barb that is WWing at you? Necros when built right are just too damn fast, no melee character can catch them if the player is good. BLOCK DOESN'T MATTER. dont even suggest against zons, they are the easiest to kill.

Melee characters seldomly hit you and decrepify destroys them anyways, if a barb tries to TP on me im out of his screen before he even starts WWing. If a blizz sorc hits you with her 13 K blizzard then you're ****ed anyways, but they rarely hit you, once they tp into your screen and cast it @ you you're already gone out of the danger zone. What does **** you up though are druids that use vines to hold you, then they TP on you and kill you. And a good fire sorc will be able to hit you with prediction balls, owning the shit outta you. there are smart TS sorcs that just TP chase you around and hope that TS will strike you. if you have a Golem, a Oak Sage, and yourself, there's a 33.3% chance that TS will hit you, same with FOH, those odds are pretty good for you.
